U Maung Maung Gyi is the third Chairman of the Civil Service Slection and Training Board. U Maung Maung Gyi is the Cadet Officer from the second batch of Mingaladon Defence Service Academy, serving in Burma Defence Army (BDA) and Burma National Army (BNA) as well as Burma Patriotic Forces (BPF). Moreover, he is the well- experienced civil servant as he has undertaken  the various roles in Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Precisely, He served as the Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations and the Myanmar Ambassador to Cuba. He has been appointed as the Chairman of the Civil Service Selection and Training Board from 1981 to 1999.
